1.  What is a faction?
A group of citizens united and motivated by thier own economic or political interests and opinions.

2.  Are factions good or bad?
They promote the ideas that the Public may agree with, but also divide up the general population. They may also threaten the government and cause political instability. They can also cause changes that are not for the grater good.

3.  Why are factions so difficult to eliminate?
Everyone has opinions which stem from their perspectives and their socioeconomic backgrounds. This ties in with the desire of the general population to surround themselves with like minded peers lead to pseudo factions, which turn into factions. If we tried stopping their root causes, it is close to impossible without destroying liberties.  You can try to control them but eliminating them is impossible due to human nature.

4.  If factions cannot be removed then how can they be controlled?
You can control their effects. One way of doing this is using the majority to control a minority and outvote them. This means that democracy is overall the best way to control factions since in a democracy things only happen with the majority's approval.

I chose a picture of multiple sports teams since they are like factions in that they build fans because of differences in the general populations' socioeconomic backgrounds.
